Online Bulletin Boards
Online Bulletin Boards bring traditional Focus Group discussions to a virtual workspace where participants share their opinions on research questions posed by a professional moderator. This research tool facilitates free-flowing conversations that take place over the course of multiple days. Participants are allowed to access and post responses to the discussion board at their convenience, enhancing the quality of responses by giving them time to reflect before posting.
Online Bulletin Boards also encourage interaction between participants. The virtual space is open for participants to challenge others’ assumptions, build on ideas, and make follow-up points without time or geographic constraints. Clients are given “back room” access to review the discussion at their own convenience or ask follow up questions through a professional W5 moderator. The result is a real, in-depth conversation, unburdened by the logistical demands of in-person research.
